Week 2 in Korea –

Hey family!!! How are you all! Ahhh I am so blessed to get to email you every week! It makes me so so so happy! You all sound great! The video of Tyson was perfect and hilarious! I am so happy Dad shot a deer and had a nice beard in the picture! I showed a family we taught our family pictures and they said he looks so young so I showed them a pic of him with a beard and they said that made him looked more like he was my dad! Haha I think Korean people are hilarious! Mom your testimony on prayer was awesome and it is crazy how similar we are because my testimony on prayer grew so so much this week. I got my first real taste of home sickness this week and had to get on my knees and rely on prayer and wow the Lord knows exactly how to help us! I also have had a little language frustration but I have been able to pray and overcome. There are also times when we have no success and I pray and I get an answer and a miracle in some way! There are also times this week when I was scared and said a prayer and found so much power and strength knowing the Lord and a host of angels was right behind me! My testimony of prayer has grown a ton and I appreciate it so much!

Quick update: We are up to 10 investigators which is a lot for 2 weeks. Kind of a super big miracle to find 10 people in Jangwii especially in 2 weeks but we have about 7 progressing too! It is exciting!

Okay I’m going to go through the days of the week again. Some are loaded with stuff and some are short!

Tuesday 10/21/14: Nothing to crazy happened on Tuesday. We really needed a map of our area and to find out how big our area is so we had to go to the big city and go to a place and got a bunch of great maps and at no charge which was a little blessing considering we don’t have a ton of money to through around. We went back and I used my incredible artsy skills and I cut out the maps and taped them together and taped them up to the wall and now we have what you could call a map…. haha it actually has been really helpful though and we don’t get lost nearly as much.

Wednesday 10/22/14: Wednesday was a really good day. As we proselyted I approached a man who I thought was Korean and said hello. He looked at me funny not expecting Korean then said in English, “I don’t know a lot of Korean.” My mouth dropped open because I had been frustrated and needed a success and an opportunity to share the message and I didn’t know if that was just the gift of tongues to the max or if he really didn’t speak Korean! I said “OH good, me neither.” He chuckled and I asked what he was doing in Korea. He said his wife was Korean (she speaks English as well) and they were living there for a few months. As I got to know him I found out he was from India and was Buddhist. He did have an Indian accent and was way cool to talk to! I got to lead the convo completely and helped my companion understand even though he speaks okay broken English! He shared some of his personal beliefs and told me he studied Christianity for a project for school and thought it was cool. I shared a little about our beliefs that went along with his and showed him the great book called the Book of Mormon and told him about it. I asked after if he would accept the book and he hesitated but said yes. I asked if we could meet again so we could get to know him more and share more of our message. He said he wanted to, but he would be in Japan for the next 10ish days but gave us his number and said call when he gets back so we will and hopefully we will be able to meet him! Later on we were teaching English class and there were no men so we left because it is just smart to leave, so we went back to our house to do some calls and we were a little earlier then usual. I had a strong, strong feeling that we should go tract! So I told my companion once we were all settle in and he said “okay let’s do it”, and we went out and had zero success. I was confused and down as we headed back. My companion tried one last time for the night and said “Hi” to a guy and he said “Hi”. He walked up to me and said he could “throw me down” because he played sports too and I just said “Okay, want to hear the gospel and about Jesus?”  He looked at me and said, “Yeah I do.” so we started talking to him and we said “would you like to come to our church so we could teach a lesson?”  He said Yes! He was a little drunk but not enough to not know what he was doing. We taught him a lesson and it went pretty good but I don’t want to say to much more about this man, He had just been into and still was part of some serious stuff and recently had wanted to turn his life around. We hope to meet again and help him.

Thursday 10/23/14: Thursday was so jam packed and busy. We did a lot! A few cool things was we had lunch withone of my comps friends from a different area in our mission who was less active and we wanted to see if we could help him. We ate at a sit on the floor restaurant and no shoes which was cool, but the kid we were with we didn’t make much progress with but hopefully we affected him in some way. Right after we went to a members house who invited us over to visit and said she would give us food because I guess rumor has it that we have no food at all because we are new and are in a new house for the mission.(True fact!!!) We

really didn’t know what we were going to do about food. We went over expecting to get maybe some rice and some kimchi which we would be so happy to eat that night and would be so grateful for. We showed up, talked for just a minute, and told them we didn’t have a lot of time so we wanted to share a thought with them before our next appointment. We shared a short message and they were happy! They gave us a bag of rice and some dried apples and we were so grateful! We were a ways from our house so they offered to drive us home! We said it is okay but they insisted. We got in the back and they drove us home. When we got there we thanked them and He said “hold on!” He hopped out and opened the back and informed us this was all for us too. It was a box about my size, chuck full of food and cereal and frosted flakes (my favorite) and milk and just everything we could possibly want! I almost cried I was so happy and thankful to them! They are amazing and I will forever remember that they did that for us! We threw that food in our house quickly and took off to meet a man that I talked to on the phone! We went to his house and I was so so humbled by his living conditions. It was a cracked and uneven cement hall to a room smaller then our bathroom that he lived, slept, ate, and did everything in. He offered us some very dirty water and I thought, “My mom is gonna flip,” but I could not refuse this man’s humble offer so I downed it! Ha I feel great too! Immune system strong! We talked to him and found out more about him. He was very successful and had a great life until the economy crashed and he lost a lot of money and his job. He found another job after bankruptcy and started again and after a little while at this job his son died in a car accident in college. He spent all he had on his funeral and was bankrupt again. He couldn’t find a job and then his wife divorced him so he moved to were he is and stopped caring and tried to ignore everything. He doesn’t think God loves him and we are trying so hard to help him! He is amazing and we hope he reads the verses in the Book of Mormon we asked before our next meeting! After we headed to a dinner appointment with a member and we got there a little early so we decided to knock doors around his place and were a little down from the story we just heard. We couldn’t get anybody to open there gate to us and it was hard. This is when we said a short prayer and the next door a sweet old couple asked who is it and then opened the gate and the door and let us in. We did begin teaching and got to know them a little and then said we had a dinner appointment at 7 so the grandma quickly said oh you need to go and grabbed some yogurt and gave it to us and said come back later please and so we hope to maybe tonight! We headed to our dinner appointment and it was on the 17th floor a beautiful apartment that overlooked Seoul. His house is beautiful! He is the Old Bishop and is so awesome and likes me and to teased me cause I am the greeny! He talks to me in Konglish and we try to communicate but we can still joke and it is funny cause we don’t know each others language well so when we can say something funny it is like 4X funnier! It was a great time and that was my 4th time sitting cross legged on the floor that day and so I was about to die so I kept adjusting and he noticed and laughed at me and told me to stretch out and I jumped on that invitation! It was so nice and my hips are still recovering from that day! My companion and I gave the spiritual thought and I lead the thought and they all said my Korean was great and I just say thank you even though I know I messed up a bunch! haha okay that is a basic summary of Thursday!

Friday 10/24/14: Very average day, I got a little homesick on Friday and we just tracted and proselyted all day!

More Halloween Party

More Halloween Party

Saturday 10/25/14: I got better later in the day Friday but got home sick a little again on Saturday but then I said a prayer and we went to English class and it was really fun and made me happier and then we had a Halloween party that we put on so we worked through dinner setting up and then did it and it was a blast and turned out really good! It was in our church and it lifted my spirits so much and our bishop made me play a balloon popping game with them and I felt so close to the ward members who were there even though I can’t really talk that much to them! It was cool how my prayer was answered! I felt like I had a family there and felt cared about and it was so weird how it happened!

Sunday 10/26/14: Church obviously. That night we home taught a family with the ym pres. who studied at oxford in England so he knows English and it was awesome. I got close to the family that we taught and I taught about half that lesson as well. I also used my pictures in this lesson which helped them open up to me and my comp. and the ym pres! It was cool!

Wow! Well that is a lot and it was a great week! I know God answers our prayers, whether we say them on our knees or in our mind or just a silent prayer we offer subconsiously, he answers all of them! And loves us enough to give us exactly what we need to keep going and keep doing his work! This work is amazing! I miss you all and love you all so much!

 Love,

Elder Houston

Week 1 in Korea!

Hello my sweet family!!!! How are you? You sound great, I am so jealous of hunting and the ranch looks Beautiful!!!! Holy cow it looks awesome! Dad you were probably being nice and didn’t shoot one on purpose this year just so I wouldn’t get as homesick! Haha. Okay so I have so much to say and don’t know how I will say it all! Haha okay maybe I will do the Everyday of the week thing and then answer any questions I missed.

Saying Goodbye to Elder Sederholm

Saying Goodbye to Elder Sederholm

Okay so Monday which was also Tuesday (10/14) in Korea, My first impression as we flew in was, “Holy cow it is so so flat

On the Plane with Elder Hong

On the Plane with Elder Hong

here” but it is okay it isn’t as bad as it looked! We got to Korea at like3ish and met President Christensen and the AP’s at the airport! They were so awesome! We got all our bags and put them in 2 vans and

then the AP’s took us through the subways and buses to the presidents house and we had a book of Mormon and 5proselyting cards to give out in Korean. We have hardly ever practiced proselyting and I was way scary but we jumped in and really tried. I actually found a guy and he was way nice and gave him a Book of Mormon and got his number. My companion and I will try to contact him soon we just haven’t had time because we have been busy! We then got to President Christensen’s house and ate kimchi and rice and had an interview and wet to bed. We were exhausted!

Wednesday (10/15), we got up and had breakfast with the President and his wife! Then we went to a meeting and met all the trainers but didn’t know our companions yet! We had a meeting or two and then President Christensen

Elder Houston with New Companion, Elder LeeWonHyung

announced companions and I was first will Elder LeeWonHyung.! He is my companion and lived in Janjew in the Taijen mission area before his mission and he is obviously Korean from his name and he is awesome! He is in his last two transfers and will be training me for the last two and he even asked to be a trainer so he could share what he has learned before he goes! He has been serving as a zone leader for the last 7 transfers! He loves b ball and I heard he is way good! We talk about basketball a lot and it is so awesome we have so much in common and he is so amazing! After we met we had another meeting and then we took my stuff and started for our area! We are Pig Intestine Soupin an area called Jangwi and we are opening the area so we have 0 Investigators and had nothing and it was open a long time ago but it was such a hard and unsuccessful area that it closed! It is on the outskirts of Seoul! It is kind of the “Scums” of Seoul but it is so amazing. It is kind of sketchy and my companion says it is sketchy all the time and I tell him it isn’t that bad! Haha.

Eating Pig Intestine Soup - My First Meal in my first area

Eating Pig Intestine Soup – My First Meal in my first area

We got there and got to our new house which has nothing in it so we need to get stuff for it cause we just live out of our suitcases on the floor right now but we got a few things now in there!

We got there and went to eat dinner. He took me to a restaurant and got me a soup. He told me it was Pig Intestine soup and I had to eat it! The Korean owner was excited to see my reaction and was disappointed when I ate it said it tasted good! I thought it was fine! It was a little weird but I ate it fine and ate it all! After we went to the church and copied the member record and then proselyted on the street til we needed to plan and go to bed!

Thursday (10/16), Nothing crazy on thursday just we proselyted and my companion really pushes me and makes me talk and struggle and I learn a lot fast and I am so grateful! We get along so good! I met our district on Thursday and we went to a buffet and ate all kinds of stuff including octopus and sushi and stuff and it was soooo good. Korean food is like the best thing I have ever had! I love every meal and just eat so much and oh man it is all so good and so healthy! My district is awesome and very mature mission wise except for me. The next closest kid has been here for 7 transfers! The rest are almost done! Haha it is crazy but they are all awesome and tell me my korean is good. Then I call them liars in korean! haha but they seem pretty genuine and my district leader is awesome! He is so kind and loving and amazing!

Eatin good, good food!

Eatin good, good food!

Friday (10/17), Okay so we proselyting and my companion approaches anyone and everyone and makes me to and I don’t speak korean and he lets me struggle until they go to leave and then he helps and it helps me a lot and the korean people either love me or hate me so sometimes the spirit guides me to somebody with patience and sometimes I choose wrong and they won’t listen! My companion is really good and loving and teases me after which really helps lighten the mood when I feel like I messed up.  I am already so much better than I was. We practice so much in korean! So crazy story, we were knocking doors that night and we heard this crazy Buddha chant and came upon a house where an old lady was chanting loudly a buddha chant and was banging on a gong with her door and all her windows open! My companion informed me that it was a chant to call in ghost’s and told

My first apartment - No furniture yet

me to ring the gate bell! He was freaking out when I did it and usually they come on the speaker and say who is it and we answer but she unlocked her giant gate so it unlatched and then opened slightly and we both were way scared. He said go up and I told him he was the trainer he had to and he said no it was my turn so I lead the way and we walked just inside and I yelled Kay seyo(is anybody there) you do that at every door through the door before they answer and her chant got louder and so I asked again and she got really loud and starting hitting the gong way hard so I looked at my comp and he took off so I took off and after we were laughing but like scared laughing and it was crazy! Haha he wanted to show me her dance she was probably doing but we got too scared! He doesn’t scare easily either so it made me nervous! haha it was AWESOME!!

Saturday (10/18), Okay Highlight of saturday. We were making calls in the Bishops office and some sisters were practicing a piano piece for sacrament and suddenly we got a text saying a drunk

Study & Call

Study & Call

guy walked in and they needed help. We went down and he was just telling stories and stunk of alcohol so bad and we had English class soon so my companion talked him down a little and he loved me for some reason and kept arm wrestling me but was too drunk to arm wrestle so that was weird! We got him out and just before Engish class started he walked in with his old bible! We grabbed him and he wanted to sing so we took him upstairs and my comp and I played piano for him and sang songs and kept him entertained. As my comp continued to sing I used the pics at the beginning of the book of mormon and started teaching him and then he go a little heated so my comp started talking to him and there is no arguing with a drunk guy. Pretty soon he pulled out a cigarette and my companion said no and tried to stop him

Key Shop

Key Shop

but he lit it and demanded another song so we went out to grab a hymn book and said a quick prayer for help and that he would stop smoking and we came back in and he just wasn’t smoking any more and was calm as a cucumber! We sang Joseph Smiths first prayer and the spirit was strong. He gave me his bible and I said thank you and we sent him on his way. So I have a Korean bible that I don’t think is the same as ours. They say that the best smell in church is alcohol and smoke…. Well we took that to a whole new level!

Sunday (10/19), Sunday was aweosme. We met the members and they are so awesome! They all loved me and ya! I found out I had to talk and introduced myself and freaked a little…. So I got up said I have been here for 6 days I know little korean but I am learning. Then I said I ate pig intestines and they were delicious and they laughed and then I said I came on a mission because I have a testimony of this gospel and then bore my testimony and sat down! They all said my korean was so good and tried to talk their Engish to me those who could!  They were awesome! We also fasted for  help finding investigators. We did find 5 this week which is a ton but we don’t know if they will stick so more on that later.

Today (10/20), we went to the immigration office and got some stuff for me done and that was in the big city and it was way cool to see!

Okay I am running out of time but I wanted to tell you some nick names  have been called, Naughty face-I said hi to an old lady at english class and she was terrified and all the missionaries were confused and asked why and she said I had a naughty face and I said no I am nice and she said oh and then shook my hand and said don’t be offended, you are nice! Haha the little kids are the cutest things ever and they call me keegkkoyo which means big and tall, and the teenagers call me movie start cause I look like a movie star to them cause they watch American movies, then some girls called me batman cause they said I look like him soo.. ya! The people in Jangwi do notice a tall white american walking their streets and sometimes we knock doors and they say oh I have seen you by the church! Haha ya I have more but I am running out of time! I love you all and I know God answers prayers and we can do hard things! Love you all

Elder Houston is on his way to Korea!

We were so happy to get to hear Taylor’s voice today.  He sounds so great!  His voice matched the tone of his letters and he is so happy and excited to be serving. To say we are proud is such an understatement.  This has been a great experience for our family and we are so happy that he has had such a great 2 months in the MTC.  He has loved every minute he has been there and will miss the powerful spirit he has felt the past 2 months but we know he will have many more spiritual experiences that will continue to help his testimony grow.  He has become so close to his entire district and considers them some of his very best friends!  He is a little nervous but mostly so excited to be on his way to Korea.  He bore his testimony in the Korean language for us that was such a treat!  Good luck Elder Houston!  We know you will be an incredible missionary and will love the Korean people!  We can’t wait to continue to hear of your great experiences!

Week 8 – 3 days and I will be across the world!!

Hi family!!!! How are you? You all sound so great and I am so happy to hear from all of you! I think Trevor or Tyson forgot to get me my weekly joke from them though! They said here is a joke and that is where the note ended! Haha I love there made up jokes! they make me laugh so hard and it really uplifts my week!

Okay so first off Flight plans! So I don’t have as much layover time as I thought. So we have to be at the travel office monday morning at 3:35! We will do some stuff and go to the airport and our first flight leaves at 8:30! We will get to Seattle at about 9:36 and we have to report immediately to somewhere… haha and then we have our layover until our next flight at 12:15 but we will probably have to board at least an hour early so I will probably have an hour or maybe a little more in seattle and I will probably call then! After that I will fly from 12:15pm until 3:50 pm the next day korean time! We are flying Delta and the first flight number is 1857 and the second is 199! I think that is all you need to know for now! Oh and I got the phone too! Oh and with our flight plans we got our Korean name tags and my name in Korean is awesome haha so ya!

This week, right after last P-day, we got the native Koreans that have been called to go to Korea and they leave with us to go to Korea! They are so awesome and some of my best friends. Between my little Korean and their little English we can actually communicate pretty good! They are hilarious and so nice! Their names are Elder Hong and Elder Yang and Sister Yang! Elder Hong and Sister Yang are going to Seoul with my district and Elder Yang is going to Seoul South with the other departing district! I love them so much and if Koreans are like them then I am in for a real treat in Korea! I am so full of love for the people I have had the opportunity to serve and get to know!

Okay so funny story real quick. So on Wednesday we have service and our service guy is a stud and he let us go early and so we had an hour to get ready so we took that extra time to have a little fun and take a load off and it was awesome. Elder Ellingford and I were showering and Elder weiss was in between us and he always pours shampoo on peoples head when they don’t look so we decided to get him back, so I would distract him and Ellingford would turn his shower down so then he poured shampoo on us. So he went to do it to ellingford and I reached over the divider and grabbed it out of his hands and then opened the top and poured the entire bottle on him! We were all laughing and it took him forever to get it all out. Ellingford and I had got out but we snuck back in and right as he finished and turned his shower off Ellingford poured shampoo in his hair again! He ran out of the bathroom and we took off and then were hiding in our room! He came out and when we opened the door he had a can of air freshener and we quickly slammed the door again. Ellingford and I regrouped and Weiss converted the Koreans to the dark side of the force and then Ellingfored and I got a couple cans of air freshener and a can of silly string and then opened the door. Silly string and smells flew through the air outside our rooms and it was hilarious everyone was laughing and then we ran inside and could barely breath with the smell so we called truce and the smell left pretty quickly actually but it was quite the intense air freshener war.

Okay so quickly I hope you all loved conference! It was so amazing. I hope you all know that Thomas Spencer Monson is a Prophet of God. What a blessing it is to have such an amazing man on this earth and 12 other amazing men supporting him in everything he does. I loved Elder Hollands talk about charity and serving the poor. It was AMAZING! I also have got to watch the Mormon message called A testimony of the Book of Mormon and it is one of my favorite things I have ever seen in this gospel. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. He translated the most true Book on Earth the Book of Mormon and I know that moments before he was Martyred he and His very own brother Hyrum found solace in this Book, in the 12th chapter of Ether they found solace in the words of this Book. I encourage you to watch this video. I have watched it several times and it is one of the only videos I have cried every time I have watched it because I am overwhelmed at the testimony Jeffrey R. Holland has of it and the testimony that I also have of this! It is an amaizng thing!

Okay so one of the hardest but coolest times of the week for me was the missionary choir in the priesthood session. It was amazing and I know almost every kid there. my companion and district members all did so well and I am so proud of them. The hardest part was the fact that I am selfish.. I couldn’t help but feel slightly disappointed that I wasn’t up there with them because I kept thinking about my Dad who has had a companion to go to the Priesthood session with every year fro about 8 years and I wasn’t with him this year and I just wanted him to see me in that choir and see me serving. It was a very selfish thought and I tried to put it out of my mind but it was hard. They did amazing and the spirit that came from their song was so amazing and it provided a lot of comfort to me! I was so grateful for my dad as I watched and what an example he has always been to me. It was a great and very humbling experience for me and I loved it so much!

Okay the last thing I want to talk about is my companion and I were one of 4 companionships selected at the MTC to demonstrate yesterday how to begin teaching to a real investigator in front of all the new missionaries that got here yesterday! It is people and my purpose and we did it our first day. All the missionaries come in to a big room with a real investigator and get to teach as a group. It is amazing how much trust the Lord puts in us to do this work! So what we did is we demonstrated a door approach and then opened the conversation by asking appropriate questions to get to know the investigator and then it was opened to the new missionaries to teach. It was so cool to be able to teach a real investigator and I truly loved both the investigators we got to meet! The funny thing was we had to practice teaching in English and it was so hard to teach in English! Like it was surprisingly hard! Haha but we practiced and it actually went really well.

Anyways I think that is all I have to say and I love you all so much and want you to know that I know this gospel is true! I will talk to you in 3 days time! I can’t wait to here all your voices! I love you tons!

Week 7 – I never know what to do for my subject lines!

Okay first off…. Mom I saw the part of the general broadcast with the little Korean girls and also the Sister after that said a few words in Korean! Brother Snow in the branch presidency, who I love dearly and am so close to, came into a district meeting and looked it up and showed us! It was so so so adorable in there little hambok dresses and singing! It was an amazing song and it was cool for me to see the temple and be able to read everything on it. The lady after said, “Thank you, You all did so well, I love you.” Immediately after he showed us I turned to him and said I guaranteed my mom cried through that entire thing! It was truly a blessing for you and I both to see that.

So we leave to Korea in 10 days!!!! It is soo exciting but also is so terrifying at times. Earlier this week I came to the realization of how fast it was coming and got really nervous. I prayed for strength and comfort. As always the Lord answered my prayers. Last time it was by memories of my Dad and his wisdom and words, this time my prayer was answered through my mom in the form of Sister Schwitzer. She opened for her husband for the tuesday night devotional. As she started to talk, her words and character reminded me a lot of my Mom!  She talked about how scared she was going to be a mission presidents wife in Russia. She talked on how her husband was strong and she didn’t know that she really wanted to go serve and leave her family. She bore her testimony of how she realized she could do hard things through the Lord and her words were so similar to yours mom and I got really choked up when she said a quote that really hit me and I thought my mom would say this to me! It was, “Lift your head up, and throw your shoulders back.” It reminded me of sports and when I would get frustrated or nervous to go out and do something. My mom would tell me she supported me and to have confidence! I know that if I do that, I will be able to conquer fear and go out and do hard things. I am now so excited for that and I would like to say thanks mom for all you did and taught me. Your words still affect me on a daily basis here and help me in times of need! Thanks mom!

This Sunday was great. I helped with sacrament and bore my testimony in Korean and it was and amazing experience to be so involved in the zone! P.S. Yes dad we are in zones and districts! After I had an interview with Elder Lee and it was great I introduced and gave him a Book of Mormon all in Korean and it went good. Then I got back and President Yost called me in and he asked if I would be the departing district leader. I said yeah and then he gave me a bunch of things to make sure everybody did and have before they leave these last two weeks. I felt pretty overwhelmed and then had a bunch of Branch meetings after but it is okay. I have got most thing organized and everyone has there things taken care of at least until next week when I need to make sure everyone is packed with proper stuff! It is awesome to be in Branch meetings and get so close to the Presidency! They are so amazing and I love them all so much!

So I have been on companion exchange with Elder Ellingford a lot this week while our companions practice for choir! I love him so so much and we have got so close. So I’m going to tell some embarrassing and interesting and cool stories real quick! So first the embarrassing one! Elder Ellingford and I went on exchange to gym and then we went back to shower. We got in our towells and walked out to shower and I was not thinking and closed the door and right as I realized what I had done and I turned and hit the door right as it slammed. Our comps were not going to come back before class so we didn’t know what to do. So we showered and then sent some kids to go get somebody to help and we just walked around residence in out towells! hahah it was so funny and we were not way late and had already done daily planning in our head so we were all good! haha but it was still pretty funny. Okay next story. Elder Ellingford and I found some suckers with scorpions inside and so we decided we would eat them! We sucked on them all day until just the scorpion was left! Then we went in front of all the new kids (Including Josh Reid!!!!) and we ate the scorpions and they were so disgusting we both were leaned over the trash can but we held them down so I have officially eaten a scorpion! they are way gross! But we swallowed them and didn’t throw up so it was pretty dang cool!

Okay so a couple things I miss! For one Elder Ellingford is a big hunter and mountain kids and he is from richfield and his girlfriend has been Elk hunting! I am going to miss hunting and I miss the ranch and camping quite a bit so just appreciate the ranch and the beautiful outdoors and this Earth that God created! I also miss my Momma’s cookin! I really do appreciate your cooking so much mom! Dad have a good time Hunting even without me. Only two hunts and then I will be back to go hunting with you every year!

So we get our flight plans and korean name tags tomorrow! Both of our investigators are finally keeping the word of wisdom and we also skyped this week but it wasn’t even a real korean so this next week will be a little cooler! I don’t know if I am forgetting anything or not but I am going to stop and send some pics! I love you all so so much and appreciate all the hand written letters that are sent here and all the dear Elders! You are all amazing and this gospel is true.

Love,

Elder Houston
